Child Sight Community Project (CSCP)
Case finding project to identify blind children and refer cataract blind children from 103 upazilas of 14 districts of Dhaka division of Bangladesh. Approximately 8,000 children are being identified and over 2,200 blind children will regain sight through cataract surgery in partner eye hospitals. Childhood Cataract Health Communication Project (CCHCP)
This is an innovative project aims to develop, pilot and disseminate specific health communication materials to create awareness, train people and to assist service delivery for children with cataract. This project develops and disseminates posters, leaflets, training manuals, video materials and mass communication materials related to childhood cataract. Bangladesh Childhood blindness Campaign (BCBC)
This model project has been designed to reflect the research and workshop findings by ICEH/CBPB/CSF team over the last 4 years. This is a Comprehensive Community-based Rehabilitation (CBR) Programme to ensure early detection, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, education and self help activities to control blindness and to establish the rights of blind children in Naogaon district of Bangladesh as a pilot model for service delivery for children with blindness and maintaining Child Sight Network (CSN).... click here for more.
District Blindness Control Program with (BEH)
CSF detects and refers cataract blind children for sight restoring surgeries in the premier eye care center Bangladesh Eye Hospital (BEH). Through 7-month program in remote Chapai Nawabgonj district, about 430 blind children will be detected and 135 cataract surgeries including follow-up treatment will be provided .... click here for more.
